Show Notes
Welcome to our first episode for 2025. In this episode, Minh and Rob sit down to talk about geopolitics & dollars - that’s right, AUD, USD, Trump, Interest Rates, Inflation and the Australian economy.
Specifically, how do all these topics relate back to us as consumers in Australia? How does the Aussie dollar impact upon the RBA’s decision making with interest rates, and when or if the rates will drop for mortgage borrowers? What will happen to the property market if interest rates go down in 2025? They talk about Trump’s tariffs that he keeps on talking about, to help the US economy, and how this action will impact China, and then onto Australia as a resource economy.
This is definitely a deep dive into economics, and they try to keep it as basic as possible to help listeners understand how these topic impacts the Australian property market, and the SDA market albeit briefly. Whilst neither Rob nor Minh are experts in the field of economics, they are both well-versed on the financial world and have some interesting thoughts on what may lie ahead for the Aussie property market in 2025 and beyond.
