In this episode, Debbie sits down with Bruce Bromley from SDA CONSULTING GROUP. Bruce has been one of the original stakeholders involved in the creation and implementation of the SDA design guidelines and SDA assessment since the early days of SDA.  He discusses his journey into the accessibility and SDA sector and what the Equal Access Group of companies do.

Bruce tells us what SDA Consulting Australia does, and discusses the training, education and information they disseminate to the industry.
Bruce also tells us his views of where the SDA sector is and should be heading and talks about his advocacy of various aspects, particularly around Robust design and Fire safety.

The discussion centres around the ideal requirements for Robust design and the failings of the current design standards and new pricing review income levels to ensure suitable development of Robust properties. Bruce also tells us his thoughts on the importance of Fire Safety in building and SDA guidelines and what classification buildings might need to be to include fire sprinklers, along with any clarification on mandatory requirements in the future.
