Show Notes

EPISODE:
In our latest podcast, Minh and Matt sit down to continue on with a similar episode from Eryn and Debbie's recent podcast (Episode 34) which was about young people living in aged care. This episode is all about SDA and potential SDA participants who are waiting in the Hospital systems across Australia, and who are unable to be discharged as they have nowhere to go.

Minh and Matt discuss this matter based on the recent Summer Foundation and La Trobe University report which relied on multiple surveys regarding this topic. The biggest factor for prolonged hospital admissions and delayed discharge was that funding applications are taking increasing amounts of time for approval, and even once approval has been obtained, there is nowhere for them to go.
