Show Notes

EPISODE:
Today Phil Usher from Life Bright joins Matt from our office to discuss their residence at Robina on the Gold Coast, which provides Short Term Accommodation (STA) and Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) for those Participants with high needs.

This facility is for those Participants who require temporary housing accommodation, want to go for a break or respite,  and not worry about a hotel not meeting their requirements while giving their families and carers a much-needed break from the usual care provided.

Also, such accommodation is for those Participants who are waiting for their SDA property to be built, such as MTA.  As STA and MTA can be funded from a Participant's Core Funding, most families are unfamiliar with businesses such as Life Bright, and we hope to bring awareness to the NDIS sector on amazing services such as this, whereby the Odyssey Group are rolling our more sites such as that seen at Life Bright, around SE QLD.

GOALS:
It is our goal to see Participants with high-needs disabilities being appropriately housed in accommodation that is right for them. Purpose built homes promote opportunities for social and economic participation, enhance self-determination, and create conditions for Participants to lead vibrant, safe, and independent lives.
